Avery 66 painting set contents

The Avery 66 set delivers 60 nylon brushes across ten sizes and shapes plus six reusable palettes. It suits oil, watercolour, gouache and acrylic work for artists, students and hobbyists at any level. Solid wood handles and anti-rust ferrules keep bristles secure during extended sessions. The pack fits classroom, studio or home-craft use.

Upgrading from smaller brush kits

Makers moving up from basic student packs gain a broader size range and dedicated mixing trays in one purchase. The jump makes sense when projects demand simultaneous colour pools or frequent switching between fine detail and broad washes. Buyers who only need a handful of brushes for occasional touch-ups will find the quantity excessive.

Check your setup before ordering

Verify that your preferred mediums are compatible with synthetic nylon bristles and polypropylene palettes. Ensure you have warm soapy water and drying space for the recommended cleaning routine. Confirm storage room for six palettes and sixty brushes laid flat to preserve tip shape.

Questions about this item

What size are the 60 nylon brushes and 6 palettes in the Avery 66 set?

The set contains 60 brushes across 10 sizes and 6 white paint trays; the overall packaged dimensions are 9.5"D x 7.7"W x 11.8"H.

How do I install or prepare the brushes before first use, and what step is commonly missed?

Rinse each brush in warm soapy water to remove protective starch, reshape the tip, then air dry; many skip the reshaping step, causing splayed bristles later.

What maintenance will the brushes and palettes need over time?

Clean brushes with warm soapy water after each use, reshape tips, and air dry; wash palettes the same way — both are reusable polypropylene and wood.
