Versatile 15-piece brush set

The Avery HB0008-A set contains fifteen brushes across six head types, covering fan, detail, mop, bright, round and angle shapes. Nylon bristles and colourful silicone crystal penholders give each tool a distinct look. The pack is designed for oil, acrylic and watercolour work, making it suitable for students, hobbyists and classroom use.

Check paint compatibility and storage

Verify that your preferred mediums are oil, acrylic or watercolour, as the brushes are confirmed for those three types. The brushes arrive in a bag rather than a rigid case, so plan a container or roll to keep the different head shapes organised and protected between sessions.

Light weight and easy cleaning

At .31 pounds the whole set adds minimal bulk to a kit bag and places little strain on a work surface. Synthetic nylon bristles rinse clean with water or mild solvent depending on the paint used, and the silicone handles resist slipping when wet. No powered components mean silent operation and no heat concerns during extended painting periods.

Questions about this item

Does the set include everything needed to start painting or must I buy paints and surfaces separately?

The set contains 15 brushes — one purple fan brush, two blue detail brushes, two yellow mop brushes, three red bright brushes, three green round brushes and four orange angle brushes — plus their nylon hair and silicone crystal penholders. Paints, paper, canvas or other surfaces are not included.

How do I decide which of the six brush types in the pack to use for a particular technique?

Choose the fan brush for blending and texture, detail brushes for fine lines, mop brushes for large washes, bright brushes for controlled strokes, round brushes for versatile lines and fills, and angle brushes for sharp edges and corners.

What does the 0.31 lb weight mean when I am holding the brushes during a painting session?

At 0.31 lb for the whole 15-piece set, each brush feels light in the hand, reducing fatigue during long sessions while still giving enough substance for steady control with oil, acrylic or watercolour.
