13-inch gooseneck mic stand

The Avid BW3016 is a 13-inch carbon steel gooseneck arm finished in matte black, designed for podcasters, streamers and studio engineers who need a silent, repositionable microphone mount. The arm bends without springback or creaking and holds any position once set. One end carries a 1/4"-20 thread for the included crab clamp, the other a 5/8"-27 thread for direct mic clip attachment.

Clamp mount and thread adapter

The Super Crab Clamp grips surfaces from 0.47" to 1.8" thick, attaching to desks, tables, music stands, boom arms, tripods, light stands, poles, shelves or chair frames. Rubber-padded jaws give anti-slip, shockproof, scratch-free stability. A 5/8"-27 to 3/8"-16 adapter is included, so the arm works with standard mic clips and a wide range of broadcast and studio microphones without extra hardware.

Upgrade from fixed desk stands

This gooseneck replaces rigid desk stands and short boom arms that limit placement or transmit vibration. The flexible arm frees up desktop space and lets you position the mic exactly where the sound source is, whether that is a guitar amp, kick drum, piano or vocal spot. Buyers who need a longer reach than 13 inches or a permanently installed flange mount will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

How much weight can the 13-inch carbon steel gooseneck arm support before it sags?

The 13-inch premium carbon steel gooseneck is 0.6 inches thick with a matte black finish. It bends silently without springback or creaking and holds any position you set, supporting standard microphones and shock mounts without drooping over time.

Does the Super Crab Clamp generate any rattling or heat when clamped to a desk for a full day of streaming?

The clamp uses rubber-padded jaws for anti-slip, shockproof, and scratch-free grip on surfaces 0.47 to 1.8 inches thick. It is a passive mechanical component with no moving parts, motors, or electronics, so it produces zero noise, zero heat, and draws no power during extended use.

Which thread adapter do I need on my microphone to mount it directly to the 5/8"-27 end of this gooseneck?

The gooseneck terminates in a 5/8"-27 thread. A 5/8"-27 to 3/8"-16 adapter is included in the box, covering the vast majority of broadcast and studio microphones. If your mic uses 1/4"-20 or another thread, you will need a separate adapter.
