Adjustable Tripod Mic Stand 175 cm

The Avid MIC-01 is a foldable tripod microphone stand designed for performers, podcasters and home-studio users who need a lightweight yet stable platform. It extends from 21 to 69 inches and includes a detachable boom arm, two mic clips and a 3/8 to 5/8 screw adapter. The package also supplies a 19.5 by 8.3 inch carrying bag for transport. Weighing 1.4 kilograms, it suits singers, speakers and streaming setups.

Boom Arm Range and Load Limit

The boom arm stretches from 16 to 28.5 inches and rotates 360 degrees horizontally plus 180 degrees vertically, giving wide positioning freedom for desk or stage work. Its reinforced steel structure is rated for microphones under one pound, so heavier broadcast mics or large-diaphragm condensers with shock mounts may exceed the safe load. Users needing to suspend heavier gear should verify the mic weight before relying on the boom. The tripod base folds to 14.33 by 12.83 by 9.06 inches for storage.

Upgrade From Basic Desktop Stands

This stand replaces fixed-height desktop mic holders and flimsy lightweight tripods that tip easily on uneven floors. The height range covers seated and standing performers from children to adults, and the removable boom converts the unit to a straight stand in seconds. The jump is worth it when you need one stand that travels in a compact bag, handles both straight and boom configurations, and stays steady during energetic indoor or outdoor sessions.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the version with the 175 cm height or the shorter 18 ft length specification?

Both figures describe the same MIC-01 model; 175 centimetres is the metric equivalent of the 18 foot measurement used in the specifications.

What does the 360° horizontal and 180° vertical rotation mean when I am setting up on stage?

You can swing the boom arm a full circle side-to-side and tilt it halfway over vertically, letting you place the microphone exactly where a singer or instrument needs it.

How does the 3/8 to 5/8 screw adapter affect which microphones I can mount?

The included metal adapter bridges the two common thread sizes, so the stand accepts virtually any dynamic, podcast or streaming microphone without extra parts.
