Mini music box with moving parts
The Avid SY-A0023 is a hand-powered mechanical music box shaped like a vintage sewing machine. It measures 13 x 8 x 16cm and weighs .57 pounds. The plastic body features a wood-grain finish. Opening the small drawer starts the melody and animates the pedal, leather strap wheel and needle hole.
Suits collectors of novelty decor and gift buyers
This item suits anyone wanting a compact, battery-free musical ornament for a desk or shelf. It is not for buyers who need a powered speaker, a large storage drawer or a device that plays custom tunes. The mechanism stops when the drawer is closed.
Runs until the spring unwinds
The clockwork movement plays continuously while the drawer remains open. Under sustained use the melody repeats until the spring tension ends. Forcing the mechanism or overwinding can damage the movement, so stop turning when resistance is felt.

Questions about this item
Does the Avid SY-A0023 need batteries or an external power source to operate?
No, it is entirely hand-powered by a clockwork movement; opening the drawer starts the melody and animates the pedals, leather strap wheel and needle hole, while closing the drawer stops it.
Will the 13 x 8 x 16 cm wood-grain plastic case fit on a crowded desk alongside a monitor stand and keyboard?
Its footprint is 13 cm wide by 8 cm deep, so it occupies roughly the space of a large paperweight and leaves ample room for other desk items.
How can I confirm the mechanism is running correctly after I wind it?
Open the small drawer — the music should begin and the pedals, leather strap wheel and needle hole should rotate together; close the drawer and both sound and motion stop immediately.
