AVMatrix UC1218-4K capture card

The AVMatrix UC1218-4K capture card captures uncompressed HDMI video over USB 3.0 Gen1 for live streaming, recording and professional AV workflows. It works with Windows, Linux and macOS and is UVC and UAC compliant. No drivers or external power are required, so it is ready to use immediately after connecting.

4K input with 1080p60 capture

The device accepts video resolutions up to 4K and captures at 1080p60 in YUY2 format, giving headroom for high-resolution sources while delivering a standard broadcast frame rate. A zero-latency loop-through output lets you play on a connected display without added delay, while the captured stream sees only a single-frame delay. Sources above 1080p60 are downscaled, so the card runs out of capture bandwidth at higher frame rates or bit depths.

Passive cooling and bus power

The card draws all power from the USB 3.0 connection and has no fan, so it adds no audible noise to a quiet studio or desk setup. Its aluminium enclosure acts as a passive heatsink, keeping temperatures low during typical streaming sessions. Because it relies on bus power, total system power draw increases only by the USB port's rated output.
