1000Base-SX PCIe 2.1 x4 network card

This Axiom adapter provides a single 1000Base-SX fibre port for Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. It targets servers and workstations that need reliable fibre uplinks in enterprise or data-centre environments.

PCI Express 2.1 x4 installation profile

The card fits a standard PCIe x4 or larger slot and uses a low-profile bracket for dense chassis. Fibre polarity must be matched at both ends, and the link will not come up if the SFP transceiver is absent or mismatched.

Sustained throughput on fibre

The 1000Base-SX link maintains line-rate Gigabit performance over extended transfers without the thermal throttling seen on some copper PHYs. Enterprise drivers keep latency stable under continuous high-transaction workloads.
