Quad-port 10GBase-T PCIe 3.0 x8 adapter with Intel XL710 controller for 10 GbE over CAT6a and NBASE-T speeds
This Axiom network card adds four 10GBase-T ports through a PCI Express 3.0 x8 slot. It uses the Intel XL710 controller to deliver 10 Gigabit Ethernet over standard copper cabling. The adapter supports iSCSI, FCoE and Flexible Port Partitioning for virtualised environments. It is built for servers that need high-density 10 GbE connectivity.
The card works with existing 1000BASE-T infrastructure and NBASE-T speeds of 2.5 and 5.0 GbE over CAT 5e. It offloads VXLAN, GENEVE, NVGRE and MPLS encapsulation for network virtualisation. Buyers who need fibre connectors or a single-port layout should look at a different adapter. It also does not fit systems that lack a PCIe 3.0 x8 slot.
Integrated MAC and PHY keep latency low during continuous traffic. Small-packet performance stays strong for network appliances and NFV workloads. The PCIe 3.0 interface provides up to 8.0 GT/s bandwidth for the four ports. Backward compatibility ensures stable operation when linked to slower 1000BASE-T partners.

It needs a PCI Express 3.0 x8 slot to deliver the full 10 GbE bandwidth across all four ports.
Yes, NBASE-T support lets each port run at 2.5 or 5.0 GbE over Cat 5e while keeping the same connectors.
Check the adapter status in the OS or switch management console; each active port should report a 10 GbE link speed.
