Axiom 25GBASE-AOC SFP28 Active Optical Cable 20m

SKU CH-9RS1-K00VY

A 25 Gbps SFP28 active optical cable for 20 m switch-to-switch links

  • 25 Gbps throughput over 20 m reach
  • SFP28 form factor plugs directly into switch ports
  • Active optical design maintains signal integrity at distance
  • Cisco compatible for straightforward integration

Axiom 25GBASE-AOC SFP28 Cable

The Axiom 25GBASE-AOC SFP28 active optical cable provides 25GbE connectivity over a 20m run. It uses an SFP28 form factor and is Cisco compatible for direct switch-to-switch or server-to-switch links. The active optical design supports longer reach than passive copper alternatives.

Suited for 25GbE links up to 20m

Network teams needing a Cisco-compatible 25G SFP28 link at 20 metres will find this cable fits the requirement. It does not serve shorter runs where passive copper is preferred, nor longer spans that need different optics or fibre patch leads. Buyers needing other connector types or speeds should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What type of switch port is required for this 25G SFP28 active optical cable?

This cable requires a switch port that accepts SFP28 modules and supports 25GBASE speeds.

How does this 20m active optical cable perform when installed with legacy 25G copper direct-attach cables in the same switch?

The 20m active optical cable operates independently per port, so mixing it with shorter copper direct-attach cables does not affect link stability or negotiated speed on any port.
