25GBASE-AOC SFP28 Cable

The Axiom 25GBASE-AOC SFP28 Active Optical Cable 3m connects compatible SFP28 ports at 25 gigabit speeds. It is built for handheld PC accessories and portable electronic devices needing high-speed links. The active optical design supports reliable data transfer over the three-metre length. New condition ensures full performance out of the box.

SFP28 Active Optical Integration

This cable fits directly into SFP28 slots without extra transceivers or power adapters. The active optical construction frees up space compared to copper equivalents and reduces electromagnetic interference in tight enclosures. It needs matching SFP28 ports on both ends and a clear routing path for the three-metre run. Builds requiring longer reach or different connector types cannot use this cable.

Questions about this item

How far can the 25 Gbps signal travel on this AOC without hitting a distance limit?

The active optical cable is built for a 3 m reach, so the 25 Gbps link stays within spec across that full length.

What heat or power impact should I expect when the SFP28 modules run continuously?

Each end draws only the low power typical of SFP28 optics, keeping heat minimal during all-day operation.
