The Axiom SOLR-SFM25G-SR-LL-AX is a new SFP28 transceiver built for 25GBASE-SR links over multimode fibre. It uses an 850nm wavelength and LC duplex connectors to reach 100m on OM3 or OM4 cable. The module is pre-coded for SolarFlare equipment and MSA-compliant for broad switch interoperability.

Replaces vendor-branded 25G SR optics

This unit substitutes the original SolarFlare 25GBASE-SR module at a lower cost while keeping identical form, fit and function. The jump is worth it when a data-centre rack needs multiple 25G uplinks and the budget favours a qualified third-party alternative that still guarantees OEM-level compatibility.

Limited to 100m on multimode fibre
