The Axxess Technologies AXFD-5V wire harness is designed for select Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles equipped with a factory amplifier. It enables an aftermarket radio to trigger the original amplifier without introducing an audible pop during power-up.

Signal Conversion

This harness replaces a direct 12-volt turn-on connection that causes the factory amplifier to thump when the new head unit activates. The jump is worth it whenever an aftermarket stereo is installed in a compatible vehicle and the installer hears a loud pop each time the system powers on.
