The Axxess AXRSEH-GL29 connects an aftermarket radio to the factory rear-seat entertainment system in select GM vehicles. It passes audio and video signals between the new head unit and the overhead screen. The harness retains the A/V input jack where fitted. It is intended for models originally equipped with a DVD player in the factory radio.

Suitable vehicles and exceptions

This harness fits Buick Enclave from 2008, Cadillac Escalade models from 2007 to 2011, Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban and Tahoe from 2007 to 2014, plus GMC Acadia, Sierra and Yukon from the same era. It also covers Hummer H2, Pontiac Torrent, Saturn Outlook and Suzuki XL-7 for the listed years. Vehicles without a second-row overhead system or without a factory radio DVD player cannot use this part. 2012 and newer models with navigation require a different harness.

Critical specification — factory DVD player required

The decisive factor is whether the original radio contains a built-in DVD player. Only those vehicles can send the necessary A/V signals through this interface. If the factory radio lacks the DVD player, the harness will not function. Confirm the original radio specification before ordering.
