7W UV-C Aquarium Clarifier

The Ayamaxon XP357911W is a 7 watt UV-C lamp built for aquariums and ponds. It emits 254 nanometre wavelengths to improve water clarity and support a healthier tank environment. The quartz tube carries an IP68 waterproof rating for safe submersion in sumps, filters or top filter boxes. EPA Est. No. 102510-CHN-1 is registered for this model.

Upgrade From Lower Wattage Units

This 7W version replaces 3W or 5W models when a larger volume or higher flow rate demands stronger UV-C output. The jump is worth it when existing lower-power lamps cannot keep water clear under the current bioload. Rated lifespan reaches 10,000 hours, extending service intervals compared with 8,000 hour alternatives.

IP68 Quartz Tube Limits

The glass tube must be handled carefully and shielded from direct eye or skin exposure. It requires a strainer compartment or cover to prevent contact with pets or humans. Operation is restricted to underwater or damp-area use only. The integrated switch controls power locally without external timer functions.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the 7W quartz tube so I can check it fits my filter housing?

The lamp measures 5.207 cm long, 7.112 cm wide and 26.8986 cm high.

How do I install the lamp safely and what is the common mistake to avoid?

Place the quartz tube inside a strainer compartment or use a cover so UV-C light cannot reach eyes, skin or pets; the frequent error is running it exposed in open water.

When will the UV-C output drop enough to need a new lamp?

Rated lifespan is up to 10,000 hours; plan replacement around that point to maintain 254 nm effectiveness.
