B+B SmartWorx

B+B SmartWorx Ilinx RS-485/422 Isolated Repeater Triple Isolation

SKU CH-9NH6-6G0VN

RS-485/422 isolated repeater with triple isolation for signal integrity

  • Triple isolation protects RS-485/422 signals from ground loops and surges
  • Extends serial bus distance without signal degradation on RS-485/422 networks
  • Isolated repeater design prevents fault propagation across connected segments
  • Supports both RS-485 and RS-422 protocols for flexible industrial integration

Industrial RS-485/422 Signal Extension

The B+B SmartWorx Ilinx repeater extends RS-485 and RS-422 communication lines while providing triple isolation between each port segment and the power supply. It is built for automation engineers and system integrators who need reliable data transmission across long cable runs in electrically noisy environments such as factory floors, process plants or remote monitoring sites.

Sustained Operation With Triple Isolation

Continuous operation is protected by three independent isolation barriers that break ground loops and block transient voltages from propagating between connected equipment. The device maintains signal integrity over extended periods without the degradation that can occur when a single isolation stage is overwhelmed by persistent common-mode interference or repeated surge events.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the Ilinx RS-485/422 Isolated Repeater generate when running continuously?

The isolated repeater has no moving parts and draws very little power, so heat output remains low during continuous operation.

What existing wiring or connectors must I already have to install the Ilinx RS-485/422 Isolated Repeater?

You need an existing RS-485 or RS-422 bus with compatible two-wire or four-wire cabling and a suitable DC power source for the unit.
