B + W 95mm Master 806M ND 1.8 6-Stop MRC Nano Neutral Density Filter

SKU CH-VAC9-NWR3G

95 mm neutral density filter cuts six stops of light for long exposures and wide-aperture portraits

  • Reduces light by 6 stops for long exposures
  • 95 mm thread fits large-diameter lenses
  • Multi-resistant coating cuts reflections and repels water
  • Made in Germany using precision-ground optical glass
  • Extends 1/60 s shutter to 1 second for motion blur

95mm Neutral Density Filter

The B+W Master 806M reduces incoming light by six f-stops, turning a 1/60 second exposure into a full second without changing depth of field. It suits both analog and digital cameras and is made in Germany from polished special glass.

95mm Thread Compatibility

The filter mounts on any lens with a 95mm front thread, leaving the aperture free for selective sharpness in portraiture. Its slim profile avoids vignetting on wide angles while the MRC Nano coating repels dirt and water for easy cleaning.

Six-Stop Light Reduction

A density of 1.8 extends exposure times enough for cotton-candy water effects or empty urban scenes, yet stops short of the extreme densities needed for solar work. Beyond six stops the filter reaches its practical limit, so buyers needing longer exposures must stack filters or choose a stronger ND.

Questions about this item

How much does the 6-stop ND 1.8 filter extend a 1/60 s exposure?

It lengthens a 1/60 s shutter speed to a full second while keeping depth of field unchanged.

Will the MRC Nano coating on the 95 mm glass resist smudges during all-day shoots?

Seven anti-reflective layers per side plus a dirt- and water-repellent outer layer make cleaning quick and keep reflections low.

Which lens thread size must I already have for this 95 mm filter to mount?

Your lens needs a 95 mm front thread for the filter to screw on directly.
