B + W Filter Company 49 mm T-Pro 007 Clear Protection Filter 16-Layer Nano Coating

What this filter does

The B+W 49 mm T-Pro 007 clear filter protects the front element of a lens without altering colour or exposure. It uses a 16-layer nano coating to minimise reflections and repel water and dirt. The ultra-slim titanium-colour mount is designed to avoid vignetting down to 17 mm on full-frame cameras.

Who should use it

Photographers who want a permanently fitted, colour-neutral guard for a 49 mm thread lens will benefit from the low-reflection coating and slim profile. Shooters using ultra-wide focal lengths wider than 17 mm on full frame, or those who prefer no additional glass in the optical path, should look at alternative protection methods.

What the coating changes

The 16-layer nano coating reduces surface reflections to maintain contrast and makes the glass easier to clean by shedding water and fingerprints. The thin titanium mount prevents the filter from intruding into the field of view at wide angles. No filter effect or light loss is introduced, so exposure settings stay unchanged.
