67mm Variable ND Filter for Photographers

The slim extra-wide frame keeps the filter clear of the image circle on most 17mm full-frame lenses. Practical Limits of Variable ND Range

The filter covers a density span of .3 to 1.5 optical density, equivalent to one to five stops of light reduction. Beyond the maximum setting the filter cannot darken the scene further, so extremely bright conditions may still require a fixed ND filter stacked underneath. Variable ND designs can introduce cross-polarisation artefacts at the strongest settings, particularly with ultra-wide focal lengths. The extra-wide mount minimises vignetting but does not eliminate it on every lens at every focal length.

Compatibility Checks Before Ordering

Verify that your lens has a 67mm front thread before purchasing. Confirm that the extra-wide frame clears your specific lens hood or matte box, as the slim profile still adds thickness. If you plan to stack this filter with fixed ND filters, ensure the combined thickness does not cause vignetting on your widest focal length.
