Double-sided aluminium heatsink with 14.8 W/m.K thermal pad and heat pipe cuts M.2 2280 SSD temperatures by 10–30 °C
This Bailink heatsink fits the 2280 form factor and uses a double-sided aluminium fin stack with an embedded heat pipe. It targets builders whose M.2 drives hit thermal throttling under sustained read or write workloads. The grooved fin design expands the dissipation area to 4500mm² while the 6 mm AGHP generation 3 reverse gravity pipe moves heat away from the controller and NAND.
A 14.8 W/m.K nano-silicone pad sits on each face of the heatsink, so the same unit works whether the SSD places chips on one side or both. The pads conform to surface unevenness without needing separate thicknesses or adhesive strips. Electroplated reflow soldering bonds the fin array to the base, eliminating air gaps that would otherwise limit conductivity.
The heatsink clamps onto the drive using the supplied stainless steel bottom plate and spring-loaded screws; no motherboard mounting holes are required. Total height reaches 48 mm, so builders must verify clearance beneath graphics cards, CPU coolers or motherboard shields before ordering. The 79 × 24 mm footprint matches the 2280 length but may overhang adjacent slots on densely packed boards.

The second-generation Odyssey silicone pads are designed for sustained conductivity and do not require scheduled replacement under normal operation.
Cooling effect ranges from 10°C to 30°C depending on airflow and load; the limit is reached when the 4500 mm² fin area and 6 mm heat pipe can no longer move heat faster than the SSD generates it.
It is a fully passive design with no fan, so it adds zero noise and draws no power while the 14.8 W/m.K pads and heat pipe handle heat silently.
