Baldwin 120mm Magnetic Dust Filter

The Baldwin 120mm magnetic dust filter uses a nylon mesh rated at 80 mesh with a 0.2mm aperture to block fine dust and pet hair from entering a computer case. Five white filters are supplied together with ten acrylic nano gel mats and twenty Q235 steel fan screws for optional mounting. The magnetic frame allows tool-free attachment to any steel chassis panel.

Suited for pet owners and dust-sensitive builds

The ultra-fine mesh stops cat, dog or rabbit hair from reaching fans and causing short circuits, making it ideal for homes with animals. Builders who prefer maximum airflow over filtration density should consider a coarser mesh instead, as the tighter weave restricts air movement more than open grilles.

Fits standard 120mm fan mounts

Each 120mm square filter aligns with common case, power-supply and router fan positions. The magnetic frame snaps onto metal surfaces without screws, while the included gel mats and screws provide alternative fixing methods for non-magnetic panels. Filters are washable by gentle wiping and should be cleaned or replaced every three months.

Questions about this item

Does my case need a metal surface for the magnetic frame to hold the 120 mm filter?

Yes, the weak magnetic design attaches directly to any ferrous chassis panel without screws or tools.

Will the 0.2 mm mesh restrict airflow on an older 120 mm fan I plan to keep?

The 80 mesh nylon material is specified for better dust resistance while maintaining compatibility with standard fan specifications.

How can I confirm the filter is seated correctly after placing it on the chassis?

The filter sits flush against the metal frame with no gaps; gentle pressure secures it and the magnetic hold keeps it aligned.
