The tape is 0.31 in wide with a self-adhesive backing for screw-free mounting on clean, flat surfaces. A 4.9 ft power cord links the strip to the adaptor, and the RF controller sits inline. The remote works through walls up to 50-60 ft and can sync multiple kits together. The strip can be cut every three LEDs along marked lines; rejoining requires a separate 2-pin 8 mm connector.

Practical limits of the 12 V DC system

Operation is limited to the supplied 12 V DC adaptor, so the strip cannot be run directly from mains voltage. Total length is fixed at 16.4 ft per kit; extending beyond that needs additional power injection not provided. The RF link is one-way — the remote sends commands but receives no status feedback.
