Hands-free magnifier for detail work

The Baldwin CJX-111-US is a desk magnifier with an integrated clamp and 84 LEDs, designed for repair, crafts, hobby and sewing tasks. It provides 15X and 10X magnification through real glass lenses rated at 6.5H hardness and 98% light transmission. The unit suits users who need steady, hands-free illumination and magnification for close inspection.

Clamp mounting with head-mounted controls

The clamp attaches to a table edge for quick setup, while the lamp head carries its own button for instant colour and brightness changes without reaching underneath. Stepless dimming across 10 levels and five colour modes lets you match light to the task without interrupting workflow. No wiring or tools are required beyond the clamp itself.

Fixed optical power and indoor-only use

Magnification is limited to the two built-in dioptres; there is no zoom or interchangeable lens system. The fixture is UL Listed and CSA Certified for indoor locations only, so it cannot be used in damp or outdoor environments. The rectangular housing measures 27.6 in x 4.2 in x .1 in and relies on the attached surface for stability.

How do I confirm the 84 LEDs are operating correctly after setup?

Switch through all 5 colour modes and each of the 10 brightness steps; the head-mounted button lets you verify every level without leaving your work position.

What comes in the box and what must I supply myself?

The unit includes the 27.6 in × 4.2 in × .1 in fluorescent fixture with integrated 15X and 10X glass lenses, clamp base and 84 LED array; only a standard mains outlet is required.

Which magnification level suits detailed soldering versus general craft work?

Use the 15X lens for fine solder joints and the 10X lens for broader tasks such as sewing or model painting; both share the same 98 % light-transmission glass.
