Baldwin 5-Diopter Magnifier Lamp
This Baldwin desk lamp combines a 4.3-inch real glass lens with 5-diopter magnification and 72 LEDs for close-range tasks such as soldering, crafts, and reading. The unit provides up to 1500 lumens at 10 watts and offers three colour modes with stepless dimming from 10 to 100 percent. It mounts via a weighted base or a C-clamp that fits surfaces up to 2.1 inches thick.
Check mounting space and power needs
Ensure you have a stable desk, shelf, or workbench edge no thicker than 2.1 inches for the clamp, or enough flat area for the weighted base. The articulated arm extends up to 20 inches and the head rotates 360 degrees, so verify clearance around the chosen spot. A standard mains outlet is required for the 10-watt LED array.
Thermals noise and power draw
The 10-watt LED module runs cool during extended sessions and produces no audible fan noise because the design is passively cooled. Power consumption stays at the rated 10 watts regardless of brightness level or colour temperature selected. The lamp housing remains comfortable to touch after hours of continuous use.

Questions about this item
Does the lamp ship with both the weighted base and the C-clamp, or must I buy one of them separately?
The unit includes both the weighted desk base and the C-clamp for surfaces up to 2.1 in thick, so no extra mounting hardware is required.
Should I choose the white, warm or cool colour mode for detailed soldering work?
All three colour modes are built in and selectable on the lamp; pick cool white for maximum contrast, warm for reduced glare, or neutral white for balanced colour rendering.
What does the 1500 lumen rating mean when the head is positioned 15 in above my workbench?
At 10 W the 72 LEDs deliver up to 1500 lm; the 360° rotatable head and 20 in articulated arm let you place that output exactly where the 5-diopter glass lens needs it.
