Smart retrofit kit for home lighting

The Baldwin retrofit kit replaces an existing ceiling fixture with a 9.25 inch smart RGB LED panel that delivers up to 2400 lumens. It is designed for residential rooms such as bedrooms and living rooms where colour temperature and brightness need to change through the day. The unit runs on 120V household power and carries ETL certification.

Tunable white and full RGB colour

The single specification that decides fit is the 2700K to 6500K colour temperature range combined with 16 million RGB colours, all adjustable from 5 to 100 percent brightness. A CRI of 90 ensures accurate colour rendering for tasks or relaxation. The 24 watt draw at 110V keeps energy use low while providing the stated lumen output.

Magnetic mount with wiring clip

Installation requires turning off power, removing the old driver, connecting the 120V supply with the supplied wiring clip and magnetising the panel to the existing base. The kit is not compatible with external dimmer switches or smart switches, so those must be bypassed. A remote controller and app provide individual or group control, timers and music synchronisation.

Questions about this item

How much light does 2400 LM actually give in a room?

At 2400 lumens the kit provides bright, even illumination for a typical bedroom or living area; dimming from 5 % to 100 % lets you tune output from a soft glow to full task lighting.

What smart-home standard does it use and what limits does that bring?

It connects via Wi-Fi to Alexa or Google Assistant for voice, app and group control; external dimmer switches or smart wall switches are not supported.

Will the 9.25 inch retrofit kit fit my existing ceiling housing?

The 9.25 inch rectangular module mounts magnetically to a standard recessed can after the old driver is removed and the 120 V supply is clipped in.
