Baldwin 15ft Braided Steel Security Cable

This 15-foot braided steel cable features a thick vinyl coating that resists corrosion and protects surfaces from scratches. Double-looped ends allow direct attachment to padlocks, U-locks or disc locks without extra hardware. The 10mm diameter construction uses multiple braided strands for increased cut resistance compared with standard stranded cables.

Suitable for securing bicycles, generators.

The fixed 15ft length and looped ends limit use to situations where a single continuous cable can wrap around the object and a lock. Buyers who need adjustable length, integrated locking mechanisms or a cable thin enough for small-diameter anchor points should consider other options.

15ft length with double-looped ends

The 15ft measurement determines whether the cable can span the distance between your anchor point and the item being secured. The pre-formed loops are the only attachment method provided, so compatibility with your chosen lock shackle diameter must be verified before purchase.

Questions about this item

What type of lock do I need to use with the 10mm braided steel loops?

The double-looped ends accept padlocks, U-locks and disc locks, so any lock with a shackle that fits through the vinyl-coated loops will work.

Will the 15ft vinyl coating withstand outdoor storage year-round?

The thick PVC coating is designed to prevent rust, corrosion and surface marring during extended exposure to weather.

How can I confirm the braided core is intact after installing the cable?

Run your hand along the 15ft length; the braided steel should feel uniformly firm with no kinks, and the black vinyl sleeve should show no cuts or abrasions.
