Baldwin VES174 UV LED Bar Pair

The Baldwin VES174 is a pair of 10 W ultraviolet LED bars measuring 11.82 inches long. Each bar emits 395-405 nm light at 800 lumens for fluorescent tapestries, posters, body paint and mineral displays. A GU24 base and 5 V USB-C power allow portable use with power banks. Magnetic clips, brackets and adhesive mounts are included for quick installation.

Upgrade from Single Bars or Battery Lights

Two bars cover roughly 10 square metres of reactive material, doubling the coverage of a single fixture. USB-C power replaces disposable batteries and removes the need for a wall outlet near the display. The jump is worth it when you need consistent, low-temperature output for parties, curio cabinets or scorpion detection without frequent battery changes.

Suits Hobbyists, Party Hosts and Retail Displays

Buyers who want plug-and-play UV for glow events, artwork lighting or pet inspection will find the kit complete. Users needing hard-wired mains fixtures, weather-sealed outdoor ratings or wavelength-specific scientific calibration should look at something else. The fixed 10 W output also limits use in very large venues.

Questions about this item

Will the 0.87 in x 11.82 in bar with magnetic base fit my narrow-stile storefront door?

Yes, the bar measures 0.87 in thick by 11.82 in long and the spec lists compatibility with out-opening narrow-stile storefront doors, so the magnetic mount will hold on the steel frame.

How do I install the bar using the included Type-C USB cable and magnetic mount without drilling?

Snap the magnetic base onto any ferrous surface, plug the 5 ft Type-C cable into a 5 V USB power source, then use the cord switch to turn the 10 W bar on.

When will the 395-405 nm LEDs drop below useful output and need replacement?

The LEDs are rated for long life at low temperature; expect many thousands of hours before output falls noticeably, at which point the whole bar is replaced.
