Premium Edition Content

ENSLAVED: Odyssey to the West Premium Edition is a downloadable action-adventure game published by Bandai Namco. It delivers a post-apocalyptic retelling of the classic novel Journey to the West, co-written by Alex Garland. The Steam code activates in select regions only. Players control Monkey in a cinematic journey focused on combat, strategy and environmental traversal.

Ideal Buyers and Exclusions

This suits players who want a story-driven single-player experience with a strong character partnership at its core. Buyers in blocked countries such as Russia, China or Japan cannot activate the code. Anyone seeking multiplayer modes, cooperative play or a modern graphics showcase should look elsewhere.

Build and Platform Fit

The game runs on Windows XP through Windows 8 and requires a 2 GHz dual-core processor, 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of hard-disk space. A video card with 512 MB and Pixel Shader 4.0 support is the minimum graphics target. The Steam DRM client must be installed and online for activation and play.

Questions about this item

What operating system must I already have installed to run this downloadable game?

The game requires Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8 to run, so one of those systems must be present before activation.

Will the Steam DRM on this Premium Edition work if I keep an older graphics card with only Pixel Shader 4.0 support?

Yes, the minimum video requirement is a 512 MB card with Pixel Shader 4.0 such as a GeForce 8xxx or ATI HD 2xxx series, so older compatible hardware is sufficient.

After entering the online code, how can I confirm the Premium Edition content is active in my Steam library?

The title will appear in your Steam library as ENSLAVED: Odyssey to the West Premium Edition, showing the 2010 and 2013 copyright dates and the 400-year Journey to the West inspiration noted in the description.
