Compact EDC Flashlight

The Banral K518 is a pocket-sized rechargeable flashlight built for everyday carry and outdoor use. It delivers a maximum beam distance of 500 metres and runs for up to 12 hours on low mode. The cylindrical aluminium body weighs 124 grams and measures 123 millimetres in length. A reversible pocket clip secures it to belts, bags or pockets for quick access.

Sustained Output Behaviour

Four selectable modes include High, Medium, Low and Strobe, with a memory function that recalls the last used setting after a five-second delay. Low mode provides 12 hours of continuous runtime, while the integrated lithium-polymer cell recharges fully in 2.5 hours via the built-in USB-C port. The zoomable head adjusts focus from flood to spot without mode cycling.

Build Quality & Connectivity

The water-resistant aluminium housing resists rain and splashes during camping, hiking or roadside repairs. A single USB-C cable is included for charging from any standard USB port, eliminating the need for disposable batteries. The tail switch supports momentary-on and a three-second long press for direct power-off in any mode.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the K518 produce during a full 12-hour low-mode run?

The K518 weighs 0.29 kg with an aluminium body that acts as a heat sink; on low mode it stays cool enough for continuous pocket carry over the full 12-hour cycle.

What must I already own to charge the K518 over its USB-C port?

Any standard USB-A or USB-C power source — wall adapter, power bank, laptop or car charger — plus the included Type-C cable will fully charge the light in 2.5 hours.

Will the K518's 500-metre throw outshine an older AA flashlight I keep in the glovebox?

At 500 metres maximum throw the K518 reaches far beyond typical AA lights, while its zoomable head lets you narrow or widen the beam to match the older unit's spread.
