Thermostat Lock Box for Ecobee Models
This clear lock box secures compatible smart thermostats against tampering and accidental changes. It fits units up to 4.8 inches high by 4.7 inches wide and mounts directly on the wall. The keyed lock prevents unauthorized adjustments while keeping the touchscreen visible and functional. Ideal for rental properties, offices, and homes needing temperature control security.
Unbreakable Polycarbonate with Ventilation
Made from military-grade polycarbonate that resists yellowing and scratches, the cover maintains crystal-clear visibility of the display. Strategic ventilation channels allow airflow around the thermostat to prevent heat buildup and ensure accurate temperature readings. The material withstands daily wear in high-traffic areas without degrading or interfering with Wi-Fi signals.
Snug Fit with Secure Key Access
The box dimensions of 5.9 by 5.9 by 1.96 inches provide a gap-free enclosure for supported thermostats. A secure key-lock system keeps settings intact to prevent energy waste from unauthorized changes. No tools are required for daily operation once installed. The cover does not fit thermostats larger than 4.8 by 4.7 inches, so buyers with oversized units will need a different solution.

Questions about this item
How is the lock box mounted on the wall and what step is often missed?
The unit is a wall-mount design. The step people skip is measuring their thermostat first; it must be 4.8"H x 4.7"W or smaller to fit inside the 5.9 in x 5.9 in x 1.96 in enclosure.
What maintenance or replacement will the lock box need later?
The polycarbonate shell resists yellowing and scratches, so no routine maintenance is required. The manufacturer covers parts and labor for 6 months; after that, only a lost key or physical damage would prompt a replacement.
What limit appears first during sustained use in a high-traffic area?
The internal dimensions (4.8"H x 4.7"W max thermostat size) are the hard limit. If a larger thermostat is installed later, the lock box will not accommodate it, regardless of the clear cover's durability or the ventilation channels' airflow.
