16-Core OFC Upgrade Cable

This 16-core oxygen-free copper cable replaces the stock lead on R70X and R70XA headphones. Gold-plated plugs and a hand-woven structure deliver stable, low-resistance signal transfer for critical listening. The dual 6.35 mm termination suits desktop amplifiers and audio interfaces. Blue and red channel markers prevent accidental left-right reversal.

Signal Integrity and Build

Thirty-two high-purity OFC strands per channel reduce transmission loss without adding noise or drawing power. The woven geometry preserves spatial cues while keeping the cable flexible for desktop use. No active electronics mean zero thermal output and silent operation. The 4.92 ft length reaches most near-field setups without excess slack.

Left-Right Channel Discipline

Correct orientation is mandatory; the blue dot marks the left channel and the red dot marks the right channel. Reversing them produces no sound, so users must match the dots to the corresponding headphone sockets. This single wiring rule determines whether the cable works at all.

Questions about this item

How do I install the cable on my R70X headphones without reversing the channels?

Match the blue dot connector to the left earcup and the red dot connector to the right earcup; reversing them produces no sound.

What maintenance will the hand-woven OFC cable need over time?

Inspect the woven jacket and gold-plated plugs periodically for wear or oxidation; clean contacts gently if signal quality drops.

What is the first limit I will hit when using this 4.92 ft extension cord continuously?

The 6.35 mm plug adds length and potential strain at the jack, so cable tugging or connector fatigue appears before signal loss.
