Replacement 48Wh 6-Cell Battery

This 48Wh six-cell battery replaces multiple Lenovo part numbers including 0A36302, 0A36303, 45N1001 and 42T4733. It fits ThinkPad T, W and L series models such as the T410, T420, T430, W510, W520, W530, L410, L420 and L430. The unit is supplied new and ready to install.

Practical limits of the 70+ form factor

The 70+ battery uses the same physical footprint as the original 9-cell packs, so it will not add extra thickness or weight beyond what the chassis already accommodates. Runtime scales with the 48Wh capacity rather than a higher cell count, so heavy workloads will still drain the pack at the usual rate. Compatibility is limited to the listed ThinkPad families; other Lenovo lines use different connectors and mounting points.

Check your current part number before ordering

Verify that the label on your existing battery matches one of the referenced part numbers such as 42T4733, 42T4235 or 57Y4185. Confirm the laptop model appears in the supported list — T410 through T430, W510 through W530, L410 through L430 and related variants. Ensure the battery bay has not been modified and that the locking latches operate freely.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 48 Wh 6-cell version or a 9-cell alternative for my ThinkPad?

This 6-cell pack is rated at 48 Wh and replaces both the 0A36303 and 0A36304 9-cell batteries, so you get the same capacity in the slimmer 6-cell form factor.

What does the 48 Wh rating actually deliver in a T420 or W530?

The 48 Wh capacity provides extended run time for longer trips and daily use across all listed ThinkPad models including T420, T430, W510, W520 and W530.

Which battery interface does this use and what does it limit?

It uses the standard ThinkPad 70+ battery interface, which fits the T, W and L series models listed and caps the physical size to the 6-cell footprint.
