Quick Access Handgun Desk Safe

This BARSKA safe provides secure handgun storage with a digital keypad for rapid entry. Its solid steel construction resists tampering and carries DOJ approval for responsible firearm storage. A silent access mode allows discreet retrieval while interior foam padding protects the firearm. The 8.6 lbs unit includes a mounting bracket for fixed placement on a desk or shelf.

Ideal for Home or Office Defense

Suited for owners who want a bedside or desk-mounted safe that opens quickly without keys. The compact weight makes it easy to relocate between rooms or take on trips. Buyers needing storage for multiple firearms or larger valuables should look elsewhere. Anyone requiring biometric entry or fire-rated insulation will not find those features here.

DOJ-Approved Steel Construction

The safe meets California Department of Justice standards for handgun storage devices. This certification confirms the steel body and locking mechanism satisfy regulatory requirements for preventing unauthorized access. No other rating or test standard is referenced for this model.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the safe produce when it sits powered on all day?

The safe is a passive steel box with a digital keypad; it has no fan or motor, so it generates no measurable heat and makes no sound while standing by.

What must I already own to operate the keypad on this safe?

You only need the standard batteries that power the keypad; no external wiring, outlet or network connection is required.

Will the 8.6 lb safe sit securely on an older desk without damaging the surface?

Its compact footprint and protective foam base let it rest on most desks, and the included mounting bracket lets you bolt it down if the surface needs extra stability.
