Dual M.2 NVMe Rack for 9.5mm ODD Bay
The Batianda 2 in 1 accessory mounts two M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs into a single 9.5mm ultra-slim optical drive bay. It accepts drive lengths of 30mm, 42mm, 60mm, 80mm and 110mm and connects each drive through a PCIe Gen 4 OCuLink interface compliant with the SFF-9402 specification. A metal tray with a built-in thermal pad draws heat away from the installed modules.
For Laptop Builders Needing Dual NVMe in One Bay
This rack suits builders who want to add two NVMe drives to a laptop or compact system that only offers a 9.5mm ODD slot. It does not suit users who need Tri-Mode support or who must connect drives using interfaces other than the two PCIe Gen 4 OCuLink ports provided. Systems without an available 9.5mm bay cannot use this accessory.
PCIe Gen 4 OCuLink Interface Up to 64Gbps
The decisive specification is the dual PCIe Gen 4 OCuLink connection rated for up to 64Gbps transfer speed. Each drive requires its own OCuLink cable linked to a compatible host controller; without that connection the rack cannot deliver NVMe performance. Verify that the host platform supplies two PCIe Gen 4 OCuLink lanes before purchasing.

Questions about this item
How do I install the OCuLink cables on the MB852M2PO-B without blocking the latch?
Route each OCuLink cable through the side cut-out before sliding the tray into the 9.5mm bay, then press the connector straight down until the latch clicks — angled insertion bends pins.
When should I replace the thermal pad that contacts the 2280 SSD?
Replace the pad if it no longer springs back after removal or if drive temperatures rise more than 10 °C above baseline during sustained writes.
At what sustained write speed does the PCIe 4.0 OCuLink link saturate?
The dual OCuLink Gen 4 interface caps at 64Gbps aggregate, so sequential writes above roughly 8 GB/s will hit the link limit first.
