Dual USB-C and USB-A 256GB drive

The Batianda 256GB flash drive combines a USB Type-C connector and an OTG USB 3.2 Type-A connector in one metal stick. It is built for users who move files between USB-C phones, tablets, MacBooks and older USB-A laptops or game consoles. The 360-degree swivel mechanism protects both plugs without a separate cap. A keyring hole lets you keep the drive on keys or a bag.

USB 3.2 Gen 1 speed ceiling

The drive reads at up to 200 MB/s and writes at up to 170 MB/s over USB 3.2 Gen 1. Those rates are the practical ceiling; actual throughput will fall to the speed of the host port. The stick is backward compatible with USB 3.1, USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 ports, so it works on almost any computer but never faster than the slowest link in the chain.

Check OTG support and free port

Before buying, verify that your phone or tablet supports USB OTG; without it the Type-C end will not mount. Also confirm you have a physical USB-C or USB-A port available — some slim devices only offer one port used for charging. The drive needs no driver, but the host must supply standard mass-storage support.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 256 GB version or look for a different capacity?

The only capacity listed is 256 GB, so that is the version available.

Will the 200 MB/s read and 170 MB/s write speeds be reached on my laptop?

Those are maximum figures; real-world throughput depends on the host port, file sizes and system load.

What does USB 3.2 Gen 1 mean for the Type-C and Type-A connectors?

It caps the drive at USB 3.2 Gen 1 bandwidth (5 Gbit/s), with backward compatibility to USB 3.1, 3.0, 2.0 and 1.1 ports.
