12 V four-cell lead-acid battery replaces RBC159 cartridges in compatible UPS units

  • Product typeBattery
  • 12 V lead-acid chemistry provides reliable backup power
  • 4-cell design delivers consistent voltage for UPS operation
  • TAA-compliant build meets government procurement requirements
  • Replaces APCRBC159 and RBC159 part numbers directly
  • Compatible with SMT1500RM2UC and SMT1500RMI2UC units

Direct UPS Replacement

This 12V 4-cell lead acid battery replaces the APCRBC159 and RBC159 packs used in compatible UPS units. It is built to match the original specifications for voltage and cell count. The pack is TAA-compliant and supplied new. It restores backup runtime without modification to the host unit.

For SMT1500RM2UC and SMT1500RMI2UC Owners

This battery suits administrators maintaining the listed Smart-UPS rackmount models that require the APCRBC159 form factor. It is not for users whose UPS calls for a different RBC part number or a different voltage. Buyers needing higher capacity or alternative chemistries should look at other packs.

Simple Swap-In Installation

The pack slides into the UPS battery compartment and connects with the existing wiring harness. No tools are required beyond a screwdriver for the cover. The most common issue is forgetting to recycle the old sealed lead acid cells. Ensure the UPS is powered off before starting the swap.
