Direct replacement for APC Back-UPS

This sealed lead-acid battery replaces the original pack in compatible APC Back-UPS units. It delivers 12 V and 580 W from a two-cell design. The product is new and built to match the original form factor.

Two-cell sealed lead-acid pack

The 2-cell configuration supplies the voltage and power the UPS expects without modification. No extra cables, mounting brackets or management software are included in the box. Installers reuse the existing harness and enclosure hardware.

Slide-in swap with existing wiring

Installation consists of opening the UPS battery door, disconnecting the old pack and connecting the new one using the original connectors. Polarity must match the labels on the unit. The main risk is reversed leads or a loose connector that prevents the UPS from recognising the battery.

Questions about this item

How often will the 2-cell sealed lead-acid battery need replacement in the APC Back-UPS?

The sealed lead-acid cells typically last three to five years before capacity drops enough to require a swap, depending on discharge cycles and ambient temperature.

What limits runtime first when the UPS runs at the full 580 W rating?

At 580 W the 12 V pack discharges rapidly, so the battery’s ampere-hour capacity becomes the limiting factor long before thermal or electronic protection activates.

How much heat and fan noise does the replacement pack add during all-day operation?

The battery itself is silent and produces only modest warmth; any audible fan noise or noticeable heat comes from the UPS electronics, not from the 2-cell pack.
