12 V 2500 mAh replacement battery

This 12 V 2500 mAh power tool battery replaces the original Porter Cable 8623 pack. It fits models 869, 9866/F and BN200V12 so owners of those tools can restore runtime without changing platforms. The unit ships new with a two-year warranty and a 30 day money-back guarantee.

Capacity and compatibility

The single figure that decides fitment is the 12 V 2500 mAh rating combined with the listed model numbers 869, 9866/F and BN200V12. If your tool requires a different voltage or a pack with another form factor this battery will not work. No other electrical or mechanical specifications are provided.

Runtime headroom

At 2500 mAh the pack delivers roughly four percent more capacity than the 2400 mAh alternative noted in the data. That extra margin extends drill or driver run time slightly before recharge. It will not suit users who need substantially longer runtime or higher voltage for heavier applications.

Questions about this item

What runtime can I expect from the 2500 mAh rating in a real tool?

The 2500 mAh pack delivers more amp-hours than the original 2400 mAh cells, so each charge runs noticeably longer before the tool slows down.

Does the slide-on interface limit current or voltage in any way?

The pack connects through the standard Porter-Cable slide mount and supplies the full 12 V the tool expects, with no extra electronics that would throttle output.

Will this battery fit the BN200V12 drill without modification?

Yes — it is a direct replacement for the 8623 and fits models 869, 9866/F and BN200V12 exactly as the original pack did.
