BatteryJack inc. 12V 7.2AH standard battery

SKU CH-MTG5-8YFNW

A 12V 7.2AH sealed AGM battery designed as a maintenance-free, non-spillable OEM replacement with 90% gas recombination

  • Reliable 12 V power for UPS and backup systems
  • 2 Ah capacity supports extended runtime during outages
  • Advanced AGM design prevents electrolyte leakage in any position
  • Maintenance-free sealed construction eliminates water checks and refills
  • 100 % OEM-compatible replacement fits Home Depot PowerStar models

Purpose and fit

This 12 V, 7.2 Ah sealed AGM battery replaces the original unit in compatible UPS and backup devices. It arrives ready to install with no fluid checks or water top-ups required. Buyers needing a different voltage or a larger capacity will need another model.

Sustained operation

The absorptive glass mat construction holds electrolyte in fine glass-fibre separators to deliver steady service over the 4-7 year expected life. Gas recombination keeps over 90 percent of generated gas inside the cell during normal float charging. No maintenance intervals are scheduled for the service life.

Thermals, noise and power

Sealed, non-spillable construction meets IATA air-transport rules and allows operation in any orientation without leakage. The maintenance-free design has no moving parts, so it runs silently and adds no active cooling load to the host device. Power draw follows the charging profile of the connected UPS or backup unit.

Questions about this item

Does the 12V 7.2AH AGM battery generate noticeable heat or noise during continuous float charging?

The sealed AGM construction uses gas recombination to handle over 90% of generated gas internally, so the unit runs silently and without significant heat buildup during all-day float operation.

What existing equipment is required to install this 12V 7.2AH replacement battery?

You need a device that accepts a 12 volt 7.2 amp-hour AGM block — such as a UPS, alarm panel, or emergency light — with compatible terminal spacing and a charging circuit rated for sealed lead-acid chemistry.

Will this 12V 7.2AH AGM unit work in older UPS models that originally used wet-cell batteries?

Yes, the 100% OEM replacement design and non-spillable AGM technology allow it to fit legacy 12 volt 7.2AH compartments and operate safely in any orientation without electrolyte leakage.
