12V 7.2AH AGM Battery

This 12V 7.2AH sealed lead-acid battery uses AGM technology for maintenance-free operation. It is built as a 100% OEM replacement for UPS units, alarm panels and emergency lighting. The non-spillable design meets IATA requirements for safe transport in any position. Expected service life ranges from 4 to 7 years.

Capacity and Headroom

The 7.2 amp-hour rating delivers reliable backup power for typical security and UPS loads. It handles steady discharge cycles in float service without watering or specific-gravity checks. Runtime decreases under high-current draws, so it is not suited for deep-cycle or high-drain applications. The sealed construction prevents electrolyte loss during normal use.

Thermals, Noise and Power Draw

Sealed AGM construction produces no audible noise and vents minimal gas thanks to over 90% recombination. No active cooling is required, so the unit runs silently in cabinets or racks. Self-discharge is low during storage, preserving charge between outages. The maintenance-free design eliminates routine power draw for upkeep.

Questions about this item

Will the 12 V 7.2 AH PowerStar battery fit the same terminals as my old 12 V 7 AH AGM unit?

Yes, it is a 100 % OEM replacement built to standard 12 V dimensions, so existing cables and terminal bolts connect directly.

How can I verify the AGM battery is holding charge after installation?

Measure open-circuit voltage after a rest period; a healthy 12 V AGM cell should read near its nominal 12 V level.

Does the box include mounting brackets or a charger, or must I buy them separately?

The sealed AGM unit ships ready to install; brackets and chargers are not included and must be sourced separately.
