12 V 7.5 Ah SLA battery for Verizon Fios backup

This 12 volt 7.5 Ah sealed lead-acid battery uses AGM technology and fits Verizon Fios backup units. It serves as a direct replacement for the PX12072 and GT12080 part numbers. The maintenance-free design suits home and small-office installations that need reliable standby power.

Maintenance-free AGM design keeps heat and noise low

The absorbed-glass-mat construction eliminates liquid electrolyte, so the cell runs cool and silent during float charging. No venting or watering is required, which reduces power draw to the self-discharge rate during long periods of inactivity. This makes it suitable for enclosed cabinets or living spaces.

F2 terminal and multi-brand cross-reference

The F2 terminal tab matches the original Verizon Fios connector, allowing a tool-free swap. The battery also replaces common equivalents such as Powersonic PS-12120, Yuasa NP12-12 and CSB GP12120. A two-year free-replacement warranty covers backup and UPS applications.

Questions about this item

How do I install the F2 terminals on this 12V 7.5AH SLA battery for Verizon Fios, and what step is often missed?

Connect the positive terminal first, then the negative, ensuring the F2 spade connectors are fully seated and the battery is secured in the 5.94 x 2.56 x 3.66 inch compartment.

What maintenance or replacement will this AGM battery need during its 4-7 year expected life?

The sealed AGM design is maintenance-free; plan to replace the unit once capacity drops below backup requirements, typically within the 4-7 year service life window.

What limit appears first when this 7.5AH battery runs sustained loads in a Verizon Fios backup unit?

The 7.5 amp-hour rating determines runtime; continuous discharge will deplete stored energy before voltage sag or thermal limits become the primary constraint.
