BatteryJack inc. 12V 7AH SLA Battery for General Power GPS5006 General Scanning R15 PORTABLE

SKU CH-KFAT-64ED6

12 V 7 Ah sealed lead-acid battery with AGM technology powers General Power GPS5006 and General Scanning R15 portable devices

  • Sealed construction prevents electrolyte leakage in any position
  • AGM technology absorbs electrolyte for steady service and long life
  • Gas recombination system recovers over 90 percent of generated gas
  • Maintenance-free design needs no water checks or specific gravity tests
  • 100 percent OEM replacement for General Power GPS5006 and General Scanning R15 PORTABLE

Application and Fit

This 12V 7AH sealed lead-acid battery is built as a direct replacement for the General Power GPS5006 and General Scanning R15 PORTABLE units. It uses AGM technology to deliver maintenance-free operation in a non-spillable case that meets air-transport requirements.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The absorptive glass mat system holds sufficient electrolyte for steady service and long floating life. Gas recombination recovers over 90% of generated gas during normal use, so the battery maintains capacity without watering or specific-gravity checks across its expected 4-7 year service span.

Deciding Specification

The 12V 7AH rating is the single figure that determines whether this unit fits the target device; verify that your equipment specifies exactly this voltage and capacity before purchase.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 12V 7AH SLA battery produce when running continuously in a General Power GPS5006?

The sealed AGM construction recombines over 90 percent of generated gas internally, so the battery emits minimal heat during normal float operation and requires no active cooling.

What must I already own for this 12V 7AH SLA battery to work in my General Scanning R15 PORTABLE?

You need the device itself — the General Scanning R15 PORTABLE or General Power GPS5006 — because the battery is a direct 100 percent OEM replacement that fits the existing compartment and connector.

Will this 12V 7AH SLA battery work alongside the original charger that came with my older General Power GPS5006 unit?

Yes, the maintenance-free AGM design accepts standard float charging used by the original GPS5006 charger, so no charger change is needed for compatible operation.
