BatteryJack inc. 2-pack 2200mAh Li-ion battery for Vertex Standard VX-230 VX-231

Compatible two-way radio power

This 2-pack supplies 2200 mAh lithium-ion cells at 7.5 V for Vertex Standard VX-230 and VX-231 handsets. It replaces the GS-FNBV103LI pack and fits the VX-231L variant as well. Users who need extended shift coverage for marine or commercial radio fleets will find the dual pack convenient. Buyers whose radios use a different voltage or connector cannot use these cells.

Capacity and headroom

Each battery delivers 2200 mAh at 7.5 V, providing several hours of typical transmit-receive duty on a single charge. Runtime scales with transmit power setting and squelch discipline, so heavy traffic days will drain the pack faster. The chemistry offers no memory effect, allowing opportunity charging without capacity penalty. Operations requiring multi-day autonomy without recharging will need additional packs or a charging infrastructure.

Build quality and daily implications

The housing survives six drops from six feet onto all six faces without cracking or losing output, which suits deck, dock and vehicle-mount environments. An 18 month replacement warranty backs the cells and assembly. The form factor matches the OEM latch and rail, so battery swaps stay quick even with gloved hands. Users who prefer a slimmer profile for belt carry should note the standard pack thickness.
