What this is

This pack supplies two 7.4V 2200mAh lithium-ion batteries built as direct replacements for Yaesu Vertex Standard VX-230 and VX-231 series radios. They suit marine operators and field teams who need reliable spare power for extended shifts.

Check before ordering

Confirm your radio model matches VX-230, VX-231 or VX-231L exactly, as these cells are sized for that chassis. Verify the original pack voltage is 7.4V and that the battery compartment accepts the standard FNB-V104Li form factor.

Upgrade context

The set replaces worn OEM packs that no longer hold a full charge, restoring original runtime without modification. The jump is worth it when existing batteries show reduced talk time or fail to complete a duty cycle, and the 18-month replacement warranty covers the new cells.
