Automatic 6V/12V Charger for Lead-Acid Batteries

This fully automatic maintainer delivers 750 mA to keep stored lead-acid batteries at full charge. It accepts 105-125 V AC at 60 Hz or 220-240 V AC at 50 Hz and automatically senses whether the connected battery is 6 V or 12 V. Protection circuits guard against overcharge, overtemperature, short circuit and reverse polarity. The unit is intended for vehicles and equipment that use small-capacity lead-acid cells.

Charging Limited to 0.75 A for Maintenance Duty

The 750 mA output suits long-term maintenance and slow recharge of small batteries such as those in motorcycles, lawn tractors or seasonal vehicles. It will not rapidly restore a deeply discharged high-capacity automotive battery. DC charging voltages are fixed at 7.2 V for 6 V batteries and 13.9 V for 12 V batteries, so the device cannot be adjusted for other chemistries or voltage levels. Users needing faster bulk charging or support for lithium chemistries must choose a different product.

Hook Mount and LCD Readout for Bench Use

A built-in hook lets the charger hang outside the immediate work area, keeping cables clear of moving parts and hot surfaces. The LCD shows measured voltage with a bar-graph charge indicator and digital prompts that guide each step of the process. Wired input and output leads require access to a mains socket and the battery terminals. The electronic design has no user-serviceable parts inside.
