Two-pack replacement batteries

This two-pack supplies 7.4 V 1600 mAh lithium-ion cells that replace Kenwood KNB-63 and KNB-65 series packs. They fit a wide range of Kenwood portable radios including the TK-2000, TK-3000 and TH-K20 families.

Rugged housing and broad fit

Each cell is moulded from high-impact ABS and polycarbonate to survive drops and vibration on job sites. The form factor matches the original packs so the batteries slide into existing radio chassis and charger cups without modification.

Tested for steady output

Units pass altitude, shock, thermal cycling and overcharge simulations and are guaranteed to hold at least 80 % of rated capacity for 18 months from shipment. Lithium-ion chemistry delivers consistent discharge with no memory effect during daily use.

Questions about this item

What voltage and capacity does each 7.4 V 1600 mAh pack deliver in use?

Each cell supplies 7.4 volts and 1600 milliampere-hours, matching the original KNB-63 and KNB-65 specifications for Kenwood radios.

Will the 96.8 x 54.3 x 30.6 mm case fit the battery compartment on a TK-2000 or TK-3000?

Yes — the dimensions match the OEM KNB-63/65 form factor, so the pack slides into TK-2000, TK-3000 and all listed compatible models without modification.

How do I install the two-pack and what step causes charging problems?

Insert each battery until the latch clicks, then charge fully before first use; skipping the initial full charge is the step that reduces runtime.
