Replacement battery for 12 V tools

This 12 V 1.5 Ah lithium-ion pack replaces the original R86048 cell for RIDGID Jobmax and 12 V cordless tools. It delivers 1500 mAh capacity using high-quality cells and components. The unit is brand new and backed by a two-year warranty. It is aimed at owners of compatible 12 V platforms who need a reliable power source.

Fits Jobmax and 12 V platforms

The battery slides into the tool’s existing 12 V bay without adapters or modifications. It powers drills, drivers, lights and other devices that accept the R86048 form factor. No extra chargers or cables are required beyond the standard 12 V charger already used with the system. Builders who need a different voltage or a higher-capacity format will not be served by this pack.

Steady output during extended use

Under continuous load the cell chemistry maintains consistent voltage for the rated 1.5 Ah before recharge. The pack is designed for sustained operation rather than brief peak bursts. Thermal behaviour follows the normal profile for 12 V lithium-ion cells in this capacity class. Users who demand longer run-times per charge than 1.5 Ah provides will need a higher-capacity alternative.

Questions about this item

How long will the 1.5 Ah capacity last on a full charge during continuous use?

Runtime depends on the tool's current draw; a 1.5 Ah pack delivers 1.5 amps for one hour, so higher-drain tools will deplete it faster.

Does the pack run hot or make noise when used all day in a 12 V tool?

Lithium-ion cells are silent and generate only moderate warmth; the pack has no fan, so extended use stays quiet and thermal limits are managed by the tool.

Which RIDGID tools or chargers must I already own for this R86048 battery to work?

It fits RIDGID 12 V Jobmax and other 12 V tools that accept the R86048 form factor, and it charges on any compatible RIDGID 12 V charger.
