Compatible ICOM Radios

This two-pack replaces the BP265 pack for ICOM IC-F3001, IC-F4001, IC-F3101D and IC-F4101D handhelds. It also fits the IC-F3002, IC-F4002, IC-F3003, IC-F4003, IC-T70A, IC-T70E, IC-V80 and IC-V80E models. Each cell delivers 7.5 V and 1500 mAh capacity. Buyers using other ICOM series or non-ICOM radios cannot use these packs.

Build and Daily Use

The lithium-ion chemistry saves weight compared with the original NiMH BP264 packs while keeping the same voltage and form factor. Cells are rated to survive six drops from six feet onto all sides without breakage or power loss. The 18-month replacement warranty covers premature capacity fade. No charger is included, so an existing ICOM desktop or vehicle charger is required.

Check Before Ordering

Confirm your radio shows one of the listed model numbers on its label; the BP265 code alone does not guarantee fit across every ICOM series. Verify that your charger supports lithium-ion chemistry, as older NiMH-only cradles will not terminate charge correctly. Ensure the battery latch and contacts on the radio are clean and undamaged for reliable connection.

Questions about this item

What voltage does the BP265 battery deliver, and how does that affect radio run time?

Each pack supplies 7.5 V at 1500 mAh, matching the original spec so the radio draws its rated current without voltage sag.

Which ICOM radio models accept the BP265 form factor?

Fits IC-F3001, IC-F4001, IC-F3101D, IC-F4101D, IC-F3002, IC-F4002, IC-F3003, IC-F4003, IC-T70A, IC-T70E, IC-V80 and IC-V80E.

How do you install the BP265 without damaging the latch?

Slide the pack into the battery rail until the side clips click; forcing it from the top bends the latch and prevents a secure lock.
