Compatible two-way radio battery

The BatteryJack inc. M4497 is a direct replacement for the Motorola PR400 two-way radio. It uses high-grade cells and durable plastics to deliver reliable portable power for marine and general communication use. The pack is sold new and carries an 18 month warranty.

Impact-resistant construction under load

The housing is tested to survive six drops onto all six sides from a height of six feet without breaking or splintering. This structural integrity keeps the internal cells protected and the radio powered during rough handling on deck or in the field. Performance remains consistent through repeated physical stress.

Single-model fit constraint

The M4497 is engineered exclusively for the Motorola PR400 and will not operate in other radio models. Buyers needing power for a different unit or a multi-bay charging setup must source a separate pack. No cross-compatibility with other Motorola series is provided.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the M4497 battery generate during all-day use with the Motorola PR400?

The battery uses high-grade cells that run cool under normal load; no active cooling is required and the housing stays comfortable to touch during extended shifts.

What must I already own for the M4497 to power my radio?

You need a Motorola PR400 two-way radio; the battery slots directly into the radio’s battery compartment with no extra adapters or chargers required.

Will the M4497 work reliably in an older PR400 I have kept for years?

Yes, it is built as a direct replacement for the PR400 and is tested to survive six drops from six feet on every side, so it handles aged radios and rough handling alike.
