Reliable power for Motorola XTS and MT radios

This Ni-MH battery delivers 7.2V and 1525mAh capacity for compatible Motorola two-way radios. It suits professionals who need dependable communication in demanding environments. The pack replaces original equipment batteries for XTS1500, XTS2500, PR1500 and MT1500 models.

Direct replacement for NTN7396.

The single specification that decides fit is the exact Motorola part number match. This unit replaces NTN7396, NTN7394CR, NTN7395B, NTN9858 and NTN9814 packs without modification. Buyers with radios requiring a different voltage or connector will find this pack incompatible.

Ni-MH chemistry runs cool with no memory effect

Nickel-metal hydride cells operate at moderate temperature during typical transmit and receive cycles. The chemistry avoids the memory effect that shortens run-time on older packs. Normal use draws steady current without excessive heat or audible noise from the battery itself.

Questions about this item

How long will the 1525mAh capacity actually run my Motorola XTS2500 in the field?

The 1525mAh Ni-MH pack delivers the rated capacity at 7.2V; real-world talk time depends on your transmit duty cycle, power setting and temperature, but it is designed as a direct replacement for the original NTN7396/NTN7395B packs used in XTS1500, XTS2500 and MT1500 radios.

Does the battery use a proprietary Motorola connector or a standard two-way radio interface?

It mates with the same slide-on rail and contact layout as the Motorola NTN7396, NTN7394CR and NTN7395B packs, so it fits XTS1500, XTS2500, PR1500 and MT1500 chassis without adapters.

What are the physical dimensions and mounting points so I can confirm it fits my radio's battery well?

The pack mirrors the OEM NTN7396/NTN7395B form factor — same overall footprint, same latch tabs and same contact spacing — allowing it to lock securely into XTS1500, XTS2500, PR1500 and MT1500 battery compartments.
