PowerStar 12V 9.0Ah AGM battery

The BatteryJack PowerStar is a sealed 12 volt 9.0 ampere hour AGM battery designed as a drop-in replacement for 7Ah or 7.5Ah units in UPS, alarm and backup systems. It uses absorptive glass mat construction to deliver maintenance free operation in any orientation.

Practical limits of the AGM interface

The battery measures 5.94 by 2.56 by 3.66 inches with T1 or T2 terminals, so it fits the same footprint as the NP7-12, GP1272 and PS-1270 models it replaces. AGM chemistry prevents electrolyte leakage and meets non-spillable transport requirements, but capacity is fixed at 9.0Ah and cannot be expanded.

Compatibility checks before ordering

Verify that your device accepts a 12 volt AGM block with the listed dimensions and T1/T2 terminal style. Confirm the charging voltage range suits AGM chemistry and that the physical clearance matches the 5.94 inch length. Buyers needing a different voltage, higher capacity or alternative terminal layout should select another model.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 9.0 Ah version or a 7.5 Ah alternative?

The 9.0 Ah model stores more energy than a 7.5 Ah unit, giving longer run time in the same footprint.

What does the 9.0 Ah rating deliver in actual use?

It supplies roughly 9 amps for one hour or 1 amp for nine hours, extending backup time compared with lower-capacity packs.

How do the T1/T2 terminals limit compatibility?

They accept standard faston tabs used on most UPS and alarm panels, so the battery drops in without adapter cables.
